Just like clockwork the Lower Class Brats brought all the punk fury to the Soda Bar in San Diego on July 28th! They played with Special Duties, Dead on the Wire and Sculpins! It was a Pabst slingin', beer chuggin', punk pit runnin' kind of night at the Soda Bar with all the local punks coming out to rock the club.

LCB started in Austin Texas in 1995 with their drunk punk low budget to produce their 7 inch singles until they finally debuted their full album with the brutally truthful and politically hostile titled album of "Rather Be Hated Than Ignored", in 1997. Now a days you can find Lower Class Brats planting their punk roots in sunny and sometimes scuzzy slow death San Diego, with the singer Bones DeLarge often frequenting local shows, even at places like dim lit music niche Soda Bar. Bones also pours drinks behind the bar at the Til Two Club on El Cajon Blvd if you ever want your favorite platinum punk to make you a alcoholic tonic.
They played their brain bashin', body thrashin' favorites, opening with Droog Stomp, followed by Airwave Raid. Other notable songs they plaid in their punk-packed setlist was P.G.L., All Young Dudes, Do It Again, Psycho, I'm a Mess, a which included a Bones DeLarge using the mic chord to tie off his arm to live the lyrics on stage in punk fashion, Dangerous Minds, Shut up Sit down, Orphans Don't Run, the uber famous Just Like Clockwork, followed with We Never Sleep, with a robust finale of Ultraviolence! With beer droplets flying in the crowd and getting knocked over on the stage during  their rambunctious set Bones was right at the edge of the stage with his gloved fists reaching his mic out to the crowd to have all of LCB army to join in singing!

The lower class brats are one of the most iconic bands of their generation. I cannot help but admire their contributions to the music scene. They are one of the pioneers when it came to bringing rock and punk music together. I really loved listening to their music growing up, and I sure hope that I can hear another band like them. Nowadays, people do not like their style of music as much, which is a real downer to me.
